Greetings Friends and Family of Life Change Tullahoma!

What a blessing it was to worship in our new Worship Center this past Sunday, September 23rd! God's timing was perfect as we had 117 people in attendance. Our previous worship space held a total of 109 and that would have been a tight fit! All glory to God for blessing His church called Life Change!

Steering Team 

For the first 3 years of Life Change Church Tullahoma, the church will be led by a Steering Team that works with the pastor to help in the decisions and direction of the church. The Steering Team also provides accountability to the pastor and any hired staff. Those on the Steering Team include: Jennifer Bean, Allen Bean, Connie Cleghorn, Ronald Eads, The Rev. David Watts, The Rev. Howard Eads, Dianne Watts, Gentry Eads, Kimberly Hampton, Wade Hampton, Kelleye Watts, Pastor Christian Watts, Mike Loehle, Lawrence Carr, Heather Fair, Rosemary Black, Chris Cooper, and Adam Watts. 

Finance Team

Two of our Steering Team Members also sit on our Finance Team: Heather Fair, and Connie Cleghorn.

One of the key leaders on our Finance Team is Linda Stocky who at the time of this letter is

in a Hospice Care Facility battling cancer. It is with heavy hearts that we share that Linda is not expected to live more than a few days from the time this update is published. We will miss Linda and are thankful God used her to help us establish the Finance Team here at Life Change. Please keep Linda and the Stocky family in prayer during this difficult, and unexpected time.

Finance Update and The Grow Project

• Our weekly budget need through the end of 2018 are $2222.22. 
• Our weekly offerings for 4 weeks of September total $6351.31
• Weekly Budget shortfall for first four weeks of September - $2537.57

Our weekly giving totals represent approx. 12 to 14 family units per week that give towards the ministry of Life Change on a regular basis. It goes without saying that if we are going to be able to meet the ministry needs of our church family and community, we need to see these numbers increase. If you do not give regularly to the ministry of Life Change Church Tullahoma, we ask that you would prayerfully consider making giving financially to LCCT a priority.

The Grow Project is a five week stewardship campaign that was launched by our Steering Team and Finance Team to help in covering the cost of moving into our new worship space, as well as being able to finish the work that has yet to be completed. The theme of The Grow Project is "Giving to Grow, Growing to Give". The hopeful outcome of The Grow Project is to bring in a total of $15,000.00 above our regular giving by Sunday, October 21st. To date The Grow Project has received a total of $1569.00. We have dedicated offering envelopes at Life Change just for the grow project (pictured right). If paying by check or online please add "Grow Project" in the memo section of your payment. As with all giving to Life Change Tullahoma, gifts to "The Grow Project" are tax deductible.

The Grow Project theme is based on the following verses of scripture:

2 Corinthians 9:10-11

Now God who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase

your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. 11 You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.

SEPTEMBER 15 from 4:00 - 8:00

**Please bring a side dish (and something to keep it warm or cool in), and a lawn chair. Please bring an extra lawn chair if you have one for guest or for those who may not have one. 

Join us on Saturday, September 15th as Life Change Church Tullahoma gathers for worship at the Arrowhead Ranch in Normandy Tennessee. The ranch is located at 239 Cortner Mill Road, Normandy, Tennessee 37360. Click HERE for Google directions. We begin at 4:00 with worship alongside the Duck River. The worship service will include a baptism celebration for several folks who will be baptized in the river. Following the worship service we will enjoy an old fashioned potluck dinner. The evening will conclude with a time of prayer around the campfire.

Worship at the Ranch Schedule & Supplies List (Supplies List is for Leadership Team)

12:00 – Load up gear and supplies from Life Change Tullahoma

1:00 – Arrive at Ranch and begin setup.Setup includes: 10 8 foot tables (Ranch owns tables), Audio System (speakers, mics, cables), generators for power, extension cords, 2 platform risers for 8x8 stage, bug spray, projector, screen, and computer for PPT, Towels for Baptism folks.

2:00 – Band rehearsal

3:00 – Begin setup for food and drinks.Will need to bring table covers, serving utensils, dinnerware including plates, cups, napkins, and eatting utensils. 

3:30 – Christian meets with all those being baptized.Pre service music begins.

4:00 – Worship, Baptism, Sermon, Annoncement regarding next Sunday.

5:15 – Dinner on the grounds. LCCT will supply the meat and drinks.

6:30 – Campfire

8:00 – Done/Packup/Head Out

Life Change Tullahoma Important Financial Update 9.6.18

Greetings Life Change Tullahoma Friends and Family!

Someone recently asked me, "Christian, where are we going to get the money needed to accomplish all of the things we will be doing over the coming weeks and months?"  The question, in particular, was directed towards the finances needed to relocate into our new worship space, while at the same time keeping our current space which will be used for children's ministry, youth ministry, and office space.

Here is my answer... GOD! God will supply our every need as we move forward in faith! Philippians 4:19 says, "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus!" I believe that God has clearly shown us our next steps. Now it is up to us to respond! And in doing so, believe that God will not only supply the needs of the church, He will supply our personal and family needs as well.

As a part of Life Change Church Tullahoma, I believe it is important for you to know what our financial needs are in the coming weeks and months. Here is a breakdown of what we are trusting and believing God will supply:

The cost of transitioning from our current space into our new worship space will cost approximately $8000.00. This number is above and beyond our weekly budget needs. This cost includes everything from staging to, ascetics, to audio and technical equipment.

Our weekly budget need has increased from $1675.00 back in February to $2297.00 for the months of September through December. This new weekly budget includes our lease for both ministry spaces, staff stipends, the pastor's housing allowance, missions giving, and monthly operating cost. It may seem like a large amount, but I can promise you that this number leaves us with very little wiggle room.

My prayer for you and I "The Church" is that we will rise to the occasion to meet these needs. Effective ministry takes money. That's just reality. God has called upon His people to meet the needs of His church. It will be a sacrifice. But if we all do our part, God will not only bless our efforts, He will bless you! His Word says so!

Exciting things are ahead for Life Change Tullahoma! I want to encourage you to be with us this Sunday, August 26th as we continue on our ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT series with The Attitude of Generosity. We'll be discussing what it takes to go from an Attitude of Self-Gratification to an Attitude of Generosity. Looking forward to seeing you there! PCW

Covenant Membership Class, Sunday, August 26 from 11:30 - 12:15 - At Life Change Church Tullahoma we believe in Covenant Membership. Church Membership is not something you will find in the Bible; however, the Bible does place a major emphasis on covenants. In short, a covenant is an agreement or understanding between two parties or between God and an individual. When a person becomes a Covenant member of Life Change Church they are to: Protect the Unity of the Church, Share in the Responsibility of the Church, Serve the Ministry of the Church, and Support the Testimony of the Church. If you are interested in becoming a Covenant Member of LCCT please join us on Sunday, August 26 following the worship service for our Covenant Membership Class. Attending the class does not mean you have to become a Covenant Member, and will ultimately help you better understand the mission and ministry of Life Change. We will not hold Sunday morning services on September 16th. We are planning to be in our new worship space on Sunday, September 23.

Baptism at the Ranch, Saturday, September 15th - If you have been planning on, or

waiting to be baptized, the time has come! On Saturday, September 15, as part of our worship service at the Arrowhead Ranch, Pastor Christian will be baptizing folks in the Duck River. What an awesome place and opportunity to celebrate the public profession of those who have made a decision to make Christ their Lord and Savior! If you desire to be baptized, you must fill out and submit a BAPTISM INTEREST FORM to Pastor Christian no later than Sunday morning September 9th. Forms will be made available at the church or you can view and/or print a Baptism Interest Form click HERE. 

LCCT Community Serve Project at East Middle School, September 22 from 8:00-2:00! Mark your calendars now for fall Community Serve Project! The September 22, 2018 Community Serve will focus on an exterior beautification project at East Middle School! Pastor Christian will be working out the details of our upcoming Community Serve so stay tuned for more information to come!

A HUGE STEP OF FAITH FOR LIFE CHANGE TULLAHOMA!

Hello Friends and Family of Life Change Tullahoma!

A HUGE step of Faith! This is what we are about to take together as The Church called Life Change Tullahoma.

Last night our Steering Team met, prayed, and came to the unanimous conclusion that God is leading us to add some 6000 square feet of worship space to our current space located at 414 Wilson Avenue. This newly acquired space will be leased at the same cost of our current space which is $1525.00 per month. This would bring our total monthly lease payment to $3050.00 per month and allow us space to expand for years to come! Again, the newly acquired space is in the same building we are currently meeting in at 414 Wilson Avenue. Some might have previously known this newly acquired space as the "Ballroom" or the "Banquet Hall".  Again, just to clarify, this new space will be an addition to our current leased space.

If you have been with us at any point over the past several weeks you know that our current worship space is filled to capacity including our overflow room. The room was originally meant to hold approx. 50 people and we are putting double that in our current worship space each Sunday morning with no room to grow. The air-conditioning and heater are not sufficient to keep a group of 90 to 100 people comfortable in our current space. In addition, we are quickly running out of kids space with an average of 9 children plus teachers being packed into a relatively small room with nowhere to grow.

We will begin occupying our new space on September 1st with our first worship service will take place in it either on Sunday, September 9th or Sunday, September 23rd. We will be having "Worship at the Ranch" on Saturday September 15th from 4-8 and will not have Sunday services on September 16th.

Here is what I need from YOU... 

1. Be praying regarding what God might have you to give financially above and beyond your normal giving to help us as we transition to this new space. We will be transferring much of out technical equipment from our current worship space over to new worship space. However, we will have to run new wiring for the projector, add a projector, purchase new video screens, purchase a stage, and more. The aforementioned does not include the fact that we will begin paying twice what we were paying in monthly rent as of September 1st. I am personally praying that God will open up the floodgates when it comes to financial giving over the next week! And I can promise you that Kelleye and I will take the lead on giving above and beyond our normal giving! We will never ask anything of you that we ourselves are not willing to do! 2. Be prepared to help! Beginning September 1st, we will begin making the transition to our new worship space. Help will be needed as we work to transform our new space into our worship venue, and transform our current worship space and overflow room into kids and youth ministry space.

3. Pray, Pray, Pray! Pray for God's guidance and direction throughout this process. Pray that we as a church never get ahead of Him or in the way of His purposes and His plans! Pray that all we do brings Him glory and builds up the Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Amen!

What an exciting time of year! Football is just around the corner, school will soon be back in session, fall is just around the corner, and perhaps most of all... EXCITING THINGS ARE COMING UP AT LCCT THAT YOU WILL WANT TO BE A PART OF! One thing that is presently not on the calendar that will be added ASAP is BAPTISM! We currently have several folks who are wanting to be baptized and we are working on a date, place, and time for baptism as I write this. We will be sure to keep you informed!

Beginning Sunday, August 5 @ 10:00 - A new sermon series: ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT.

Synopsis - Attitude matters. And oftentimes our attitude determines our outcomes, our view of life, our view of ourselves, our view of others. Our attitudes even determine how others view us. Beginning Wednesday, August 15 @ 6:00 - LCCT Students Wednesday Night Fuel! A weekly gathering for students in grades 6-12 from 6:00 to 7:30. Each week will feature a relevant topic that students deal with, and what the Bible has to say about it. Each week will also feature games, breakout groups for MS & HS, a other great stuff!

Beginning Wednesday, August 15 from 6:00 to 7:30 - DAVE RAMSEY'S FINANCIAL PEACE UNIVERSITY!  Financial Peace University is a nine-session, money-management class taught by America's most trusted financial guru, Dave Ramsey. Dave and his teaching team will walk you through the basics of budgeting, dumping debt, planning for the future, and much more. The best way to jump-start your financial journey and to see the most significant life-change is to join a local group and experience the class with other people. Classes typically meet for 90 minutes once a week for nine weeks and are led by a volunteer coordinator. The accountability and motivation you receive from discussing the lessons and meeting with people face-to-face is the key to changing your life! Classes begin August 15 and finish November 7. Sunday, August 26 @ 11:30 - LCCT Covenant Membership Class! If you're ready to take the "Next Step" at Life Change we encourage you to join us for our Covenant Membership Class. This 45 minute class will help you better understand the Mission and Vision of Life Change, and why we believe "Covenant Membership"  among a local body of believers is important. You'll have the opportunity to ask Pastor Christian questions, and hear how Life Change got started and what we see as our future in Tullahoma. Signup for the class will begin at LCCT in early August.

Beginning Sunday, September 9 @ 5:00 - "Perfect Love" - A Life Group for Women. Ladies you're invited to join us at Life Change Church Tullahoma Sunday evenings at 5:00 from September 9 - October 14 (6 weeks). Saturday, September 22 from 8:00 to 2:30 - LCCT Community Serve!  A day set aside for the body of Christ that is LCCT to use our gifts, talents, and abilities to serve one another and our greater community in the name of Jesus Christ. 

Life Change Tullahoma's Community Service Day is all about serving our community in various ways. If you, or your organization could use a helping hand for the day please call or text us at 931-321-0900, or send us an email at lifechangetullahoma@gmail.com. Here are a few examples of ways in which we might be able to serve: painting; roadside, park, school, stream, trash cleanup; yard work, nursing home visits, small in-home or outside repairs; food distribution; house cleaning; beautification projects, working with other community organizations for the day; etc. Please contact us and let us know how we can serve you or a need you are aware of. We also need volunteers, and you don't have to attend Life Change Tullahoma to partner with us in this effort!

It is my prayer not so much to have a busy calendar, but to offer events and activities that help you to become a better person! Better for God, your family, your friends, and your life! 
One final note... As of today, we are unable to offer anything for children on Wednesday evenings. I am praying that someone will step up and take a lead on a Wednesday Night Kids Program at some point in the near future. Until we have that person, or persons, we will have to hold off a bit when it comes to offering kids activities on Wednesday evenings. I know this will come in time... Until then, be sure to take advantage of our great Sunday morning children's class for kids ages Birth through Kindergarten that takes place during the 10:00 worship service.

LCCT Important Update 6.9.18

Greetings Everyone!

NOTE - PLEASE READ! YOU’LL BE GLAD YOU DID!

On September 18, 2017, a small group of individuals met at the Holiday Inn Express in Tullahoma to seek God’s will and direction regarding a potential new church plant. At the end of the meeting, the group was called to pray and seek God’s direction concerning this potential new church. On October 21, 2017 the group felt God’s leading them to plant a new church in Tullahoma, and Life Change Church was born!

The church met three times during the month of November, primarily on Saturdays. The exception was Tuesday, November 21st which was to be our last gathering for the month. It was a special service of Thanksgiving and Worship leading up to Thanksgiving. That same Tuesday, I (your pastor) fell and completely broke my wrist and had to have emergency surgery. The service went on without the pastor and the room was full! What happened that night is what has been happening since day one; God and God alone was building His church!

In the coming days and weeks God’s plan for LCCT became more evident and clear as He put an opportunity before us to relocate in a more permanent place at 414 Wilson Avenue Suite 121. Over the past seven months the church has seen many new faces, more and more consistent attendees, and has shared the love of Christ in both Word and deed. Since day one, God has been building His church one person at a time and He continues to work week in and week out in and through YOU The Church! We have seen growth throughout the summer and our worship through giving has seen an increase as well. Again, God is building His Church!

Last night as I stood in the Banquet Hall watching the Dorrell family, and gazed upon a room full of kids of all ages, God spoke to me and told me to go to Dan Marcum (the owner of our building) and let him know that I was praying that God would give us the ability to take over the entire banquet Hall. THE ENTIRE BANQUET HALL!! Now, it’s important for you to know that there have been two businesses vying for that very space. However, neither business has been able to make things happen in order to take over the space. If we were to move in the banquet hall we would acquire about 10,000 square feet of worship space, kids space, and office space. We would in time transition out of our current space, at least for now…So… I am praying, and I am asking you to pray that God would give us that space! The whole thing! Honestly, I cannot say at this very moment that our taking over that space is “God’s Will” for us, or if God is simply wanting to see if I will do what He has asked me to do? But here’s the thing… I did it what He asked me to do! And now praying for God’s direction in this, and asking for you to pray as well.

Will you please commit to pray about this with me? Will you pray that of this is God’s will that He would provide the capital (money) we need to make this happen? Would you pray that God would make our path clear and our path straight?

I even went as far as telling Dan Marcum that I have been praying that God wouldn’t allow anyone else to secure the space if it was God's will for us to have it. I can tell you that the Marcum’s are very interested. And I can also tell you that they have a heart for our church and the people in this town. Pray too that God makes His will clear to them.

The bottom line is that we are growing! What a blessing!! And I truly believe that once summer is over and school resumes, we are going to run out of space in our current location very quickly (we are already almost at this point). I also do not believe that the answer is to add a second service in our current location as this would split up our fellowship (it would be one thing if we had a space that held 200 people or more). I know God has a plan and I truly believe He has been revealing His plan to me over the past several weeks. More than anything we don’t want to be ahead nor behind when it comes to His plans… Rather, we want to be right in the midst of them!

So again, will you pray with me regarding this? Will you make it a priority? I pray that you do! I know when God’s people pray that He hears us, and He will answer and provide EVERYTHING we need!!
